Three days of craft at the water’s edge.
The etymology of the word narrative is from Latin gnarus ‘knowing’ . In other words, the stories we tell and the narratives we write are really about two things:
Discovering our deepest knowings, the erudition that lives in our flesh; and
Connecting the dots of those knowings to form a chain of wisdom that can help guide us through our past, present and future at once.
Join Steph for a long weekend of paper and ink, of deep creativity, of restoring communion and refreshing community.
Our gathering is set to occur at Captain Whidbey, a stunning property on Whidbey Island in the Pacific Northwest. romantic Historic Lodge complete with crackling fires and sheep skin rugs, it’s short trails and rocky beaches, and it’s wellness studio & wood-barrel sauna. In other words, you can count on a handful of perfect perches for you to return to, re-member, write and re-write your knowings and narratives.
The retreat has been designed for writers of all levels including those who don’t yet call themselves a writer.
